Wood Salve - 4 ounce

Our homemade Wood Salve blend is made from food grade pure mineral oil organically derived and kosher certified. It is mixed with organic beeswax along with a hint of cold pressed lime peel essential oil. This blend of wax and oil is the perfect consistency to apply to your cutting boards, wooden utensils, butcher blocks, etc. Our Wood Salve is meant as a conditioner to keep your wood utensils, cutting boards, etc from drying out, cracking, or warping. Use on any of your wooden utensils, cutting boards, cheese boards that are in your kitchen.

Directions:

Take a smear of our wood salve and apply to your wood utensil or cutting board, working it in and making sure it blends in covering your whole piece. Once it is all blended and it has a nice light coat of salve, let it sit for 15 minutes and wipe of any excess oil/wax. What happens is the oil part of the salve will soak into the wood to prevent drying and cracking. The beeswax part will coat the outside to give it added protection and prevent moisture and water to soak into the wood. Anytime your wooden object is looking like it needs some attention or starts to look like it’s a little dry, just give an application of our special blend, Wood Salve. We like to treat our wooden utensils or cutting boards once a month.
